Trent Richardson Scouting Report
Richardson is a power back who can run over defenders and take it to the house with good speed. Ideal size for the position and has all the tools to be a great NFL RB.
Pros
Very strong and powerful back who blows through arm tackles and runs low to the ground. A big hitter who loves running over DBs and gets a lot of yards after contact. Averaged over 6 yards per carry this past season and should have a great 2011 running behind a big line.
Catches the ball well out of the backfield (23 receptions last year for 4 TDs) and makes quick and decisive cuts. Plays big in big games. Good straight line speed (about 4.5 seconds in the 40).
Cons
Does not have the lateral quickness that some elite running backs have and is more of a straight line runner (and a very good one at that).
Projection: Top 25 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft
