2011 NFL Power Rankings: Week 2
1 (1). New Orleans Saints (2-0). Saints aren't scoring as much as they did last year, but they are 2-0, beating a good Vikings team then a decent Niners team on the road. Good enough to stay #1.
2 (3). Green Bay Packers (2-0). The Packers have probably been the most impressive team so far. They got up big on the Eagles then demolished the Bills. Clay Matthews is in the early lead for defensive player of the year.
3 (5). Houston Texans (2-0). The Texans had a 200+ yard rusher in week 1 then a near 500 yard passer in week 2. That offense is something else. If the defense can hold the fort, watch out.
4 (6). Indianapolis Colts (1-1). Reports of the Colts demise are once again premature. If they can run the ball like that, they will be next to unstoppable.
5 (13). Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0). The Steelers are 2-0 and going up against a very winnable opponent in week 3. If they can be 3-1 without Big Ben, that would be a monster victory. Of course, having that defense sure does help.
6 (2). Baltimore Ravens (1-1). Joe Flacco did not look good, but the Ravens have gone up against two of the very best defenses in the NFL. We will see if he can step up against the Browns, who are very bad but have a decent secondary.
7 (10). New York Jets (1-1). Well, the Jets aren't going 0-16. Mark Sanchez had a great game, but that may say more about the Patriots defensive woes then the Jets quarterback.
8 (4). New England Patriots (1-1). Speaking of the Patriots, it looks like they might have to win some shootouts while the young defense jels, if they ever will.
9 (7). Tennessee Titans (1-1). Vince Young had his worst game since he reclaimed his starting job, but that was against the Steelers. Jeff Fisher says he is his QB, but it's obvious that he will be on a short leash.
10 (14). Miami Dolphins (2-0). The Dolphins have won ugly, but they are 2-0, and lead the league with only 20 points allowed. As a Fins fan, I am very worried about Chad Henne. He seems to be on the brink of disaster.
11 (12). San Diego Chargers (1-1)
12 (16). Atlanta Falcons (1-1)
13 (25). Chicago Bears (2-0)
14 (8). Dallas Cowboys (0-2)
